The Artist
I have followed a career in wildlife management, conservation and rehabilitation for over twenty-five years. This has enabled me to work closely with hundreds of animals from over three hundred different species.
Many of those animals have left a lasting impression and inspired me to immortalize them through art. My ambition has been to capture the character and essence of each special individual, rather than just portray a particular type of animal.
My early works were created in watercolor, but now I paint mainly in oil as it offers more depth and intensity of color for my portraits.
My wildlife work has enabled me to work and live in different countries. I have now settled near San Diego, California.
